Timber fencing · Brisbane Northside & selected Greater Brisbane areas

The timber-fence pathway

Practical boundary work. Finished with the same care.

A timber fence can be a straightforward, repeatable construction task and still be treated with care. The line, post rhythm, ground clearance, transitions and gate details are what separate a boundary that merely closes a gap from one that properly finishes the property.

For a standard run, we keep the scope clear and the quoting information practical. Where the fence meets retaining, a driveway, a front gate or a more designed landscape, we can coordinate those interfaces as part of a broader external package.

What we can build

Choose the level of finish the boundary actually needs.

Timber paling fencing

A practical boundary system for side and rear fences, with the timber, height and spacing selected around privacy, site conditions and the required finish.

Lapped & capped privacy fencing

A more substantial presentation with increased overlap and a clean top line for boundaries where privacy and finish both matter.

Feature battens & screening

Considered timber rhythm for front boundaries, courtyards, bins, services and selected privacy screens where a standard paling fence is not the right visual answer.

Matching timber gates

Pedestrian gates and selected access gates planned with the fence so the frame, clearances, hardware and material language belong together.

A quote that reflects the real site

A useful fence quote starts with the real site.

Length is only one part of a useful quotation. We assess the complete run, removal, access, ground conditions and finish so the scope reflects what the property actually requires.

Send measurements & photos

One boundary, one coordinated plan

When the fence sits above retaining, plan both before either begins.

Fence posts, wall position, levels and access all affect one another. Treating the wall and fence as separate decisions can create compromises at the exact line that needs to remain straight and resolved.

For suitable projects, The George Legacy can discuss the retaining and timber-fencing scope together, along with adjoining gates, paths, concrete or landscape work.

Northgate-based

Timber fencing across selected Brisbane service areas.

Our base is Northgate 4013. The timber-fencing push is focused on Brisbane’s northside and suitable projects across Greater Brisbane, with route planning based on scope, access and current crew scheduling.

Areas we can assess include Northgate, Nundah, Virginia, Wavell Heights, Hendra, Clayfield, Kedron, Chermside, Stafford, Aspley, Everton Park, Sandgate, Brighton and surrounding suburbs. Being outside this list does not automatically rule a project out.

Timber fencing questions

Useful before you request an assessment.

Do you install standard timber paling fences?

Yes. Straightforward timber boundary fencing is a priority service, alongside lapped-and-capped privacy fencing, feature timber sections and matching gates.

Can you replace and remove the old fence?

Yes, where included in the agreed scope. Photos of both sides, the full length and the access path help us account for removal and disposal before quoting.

Can you repair the existing fence instead?

Potentially. Localised repairs are handled through Care & Restore. If posts, rails or the wider run have reached the end of their useful life, full replacement may be the better-value pathway.

Do you build fences above retaining walls?

Fencing and retaining can often be planned together. The wall, post locations, levels and construction sequence need to be considered as one site-specific scope.

Do you advertise a fixed per-metre price?

No. Height, timber, style, access, slope, removal, gates and ground conditions materially change the scope. We use your measurements and photos to assess the job before preparing a useful quotation.

What should I send for an initial assessment?

Send the suburb, approximate length and height, clear photos of the full boundary and access, your preferred style, and whether an existing fence needs to be removed.

Ready for a useful first assessment?

Send the length, site photos and finish you have in mind.
